Day 2 Punta Cana

I love that I was able to wake up to 85 degree weather, palm trees swaying gently in the soft breeze, and the smell of the ocean air. Day two has been absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet, filled with muffins, donuts, danishes, and more. I indulged in a strawberry muffin, and the running theme here is how much we love the fresh pineapple served at every single meal. Juicy, sweet, and perfect for consumption!

My husband and I then spent the morning swimming in the pool. They keep the pool at a warmer temperature, and started serving alcohol right away at 9 a.m. I’m not a big drinker, but I was definitely tempted to order a piña colada. We then walked along the beach, stuck our feet into the ocean, and then laid oceanside under a palm tree.

Exploring the resort, we realized that there are five different buildings with rooms galore, as well as a water sports hut where they can teach you to scuba dive, you can rent out a kayak, or they can take you tubing, all included in your reservation.

Tomorrow, we hope to explore the ocean in a glass-bottom boat, tan some more, and hopefully I can catch up on my summer reading.
